Odisha Civil Service – It has three parts for the exam – Preliminary exam for 400 marks, Main Examination for 2600 marks and personality test or interview for 250 marks. The Prelims exam has two papers, and both papers are of general studies with 200 marks each. The mains exam has nine papers out of which the first five exams are compulsory, and the remaining are optional – the first paper is to test the ability of Odia language, which is the 300 marks, the second paper is to test the English language out of 300 marks, the third paper is for 200 marks to test English essay, the fourth & fifth paper is to test general studies out of 300 marks each, and sixth to ninth papers are to test-optional subjects out of 300 marks each.
